Spring is all about Color - or is it???

This week on the eVintage round and round blog tag, I've been tagged by FuzzyLizzie Vintage - and we are all excited about color!
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOR?
OK - so in honor of March Madness I should say my favorite color is Burnt Orange (10 pts if you know who I'm rooting for!!)

But since we're talking about fashion, although it's cliche - I have to admit I am tres partial to black. It's like comfort food for me. When I'm rushed or frantic trying to find something to wear - I know I can always turn to the lil black dress, or a black turtleneck and skinny jeans. It'll never do you wrong!

  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BRIGHTLY COLOURED PIECE IN YOUR INVENTORY?
Bright? Hmmm - I do have some way cool Mary Janes in orange and apple green. Always a fun way to give an outfit a jolt of color!
  • WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO ADD COLOUR TO AN OUTFIT?
If I'm not wearing the orange MJs, then I love to POP an outfit with a great vintage Vera scarf or as a headband. I Love this great 60's Op Art Vera scarf from FeatherYourNest71!
  • WHAT COLOUR ARE YOU WEARING RIGHT NOW?
Black capris, Black top, and a 60s Asian stroller with rice bowl and chopsticks print - and black MJs, of course!
  • WHAT COLOURS DO YOU DECORATE WITH?
I love the brights colors of the Mediterranean and Parisian kitsch of the 50s - and I use that to decorate my whole house - Reds, Flamingo Pinks, and the bright yellows and greens. I found this great handbag - totally inmy decorating style - online at reach-for-the-starz!

Well - that's my rant for now - On to Funkoma Vintage!

Tag - I'm it!

Round and Round we go - who's next, who knows?
I've been tagged from www.ehappyvintage.com on our eVintage Spring Fling Quiz! Check out every week to see what other eVintage members have to say!

1. What is your favorite piece of spring vintage wear in your inventory?
Great for Spring and for St Patty's day - I really love love love this cute little 60's Bright Green
Photobucket

2. Why is it your favorite?
Why wouldn't you love it?! Great belt, contrast stitching, a-line skirt s great for gals like me - it just makes me feel like a picnic in the grass!

3. What is your favorite spring flower?
Why tulips, of course, and we found this adorable lounging dress from SassyPicker

4. Favorite memory of spring?
When I was a kid, we lived in a place where it snowed until November until March - so when we would see and hear the first songbirds of Spring, it was such a relief. Now when I hear the birds returning, it reminds me of those dark snowy days coming to an end!

5. When does spring arrive where you live?
Earlier and earlier every year - but here in North Carolina, Spring comes around March 1st - which means my spring bulbs are peeking through as I write.

6. Most exciting fashion trend?
I love the Techno - neon - brights of the 80's that are BACK! Personally I am digging my jellies out of the trunk of high school memories!

So next on the eVintage Blog Train is Figure 8 Studio
Tag you're it!

We're OPEN!

What a couple of weeks this has been, but we are finally open with Sleepy Poet in our brand new HUGE building!

Come see us, and check out the brand new selection of vintage - and there's more to come! We're off again on a cross country trek in search of the coolest and kitschy-est vintage and bringin' it back to Charlotte!

Not sure where the new shop is? We're at 4450 South Blvd, between Scaleybark and Woodlawn, across from the bowling alley. Just 1/2 from where we were!
Can't get there during the day - coming soon, evening hours on Friday and Saturday!

Hope to see you all soon!
